It can get cold in Colorado!

Gorgeous Santino enjoying his "royal" maroon and gold petal bed.

I absolutely LOVE the bed!!  It's gorgeous and Santino loves it AND the toy!  He's been running all through the house with it.  The bed is so regal looking and so snuggly.  I know Santino will really enjoy the fleece side all snuggled up in the winter.  You have been wonderful!  Thank you for sending it so quickly.  It's a brilliant idea and so practical.

Thank you from Santino and me.

Hugs and kisses to you, Zoe and Kokomo. Carol

Pat, I got the bows today. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Here's a pink one I put in her today. Much better than the blah one the groomer put in!  The pink doesn't show up great, it's my flash washing it out, I think. I love the pink on her, though. I can't wait to send Buttercup hers!

Thank you so much! Donna

Darling little Nikki in one of her Organza bows

Just wanted to let you know that I received the bows today and they are beautiful.  Thank you so much.  She is only going to get  to wear them when she gets all dressed up to go out.  Thanks for the bands too.  My goodness there are enough there to last forever.

Thanks again, glenda and Nikki

Handsome Mr. T in his new buckled belly band.

Wow Love the belly bands. Not sure he does yet!! They look great and made beautifully!! I think the belly bands will be fine. They fit snuggly but not tightly.. You allowed enough poof on the bottom for the pad.

Thank You! Sandi

Hope, AKA Puddles, received one of my first harness dresses because she's such a brave girl and surviver, I thought she deserved a gift.

Thanks to Auntie Pat.  Puddles is grateful!! This little trooper could not wear a harness due to her Liver Shunt surgeries, which started early at puppy-hood, leaving stitches and sensitive areas.  She never had the chance to learn to walk on a leash and harness. Puddles also had to wear T-Shirts due to allergies to the very food that keeps her alive.  When Puddles surgery area had healed properly, if we would put a harness, Lupi or holt on to take her out somewhere, true terror and panic would set in.

**Puddles’ “Harness Dress” was and still IS the answer to end her panic!**

And OH - the joyfulness she shared as she visited the Chronic Care Unit of the Hospital.  She was wearing her versatile Harness Dress, together with matching organza bow, and from patients to visitors and even the workers – their faces were all “a glow”!  Puddles visit did have quite a continued effect of smiles and giggles as her story and visits still resonate with the many whom she met!

A little more “prior” history of Little Hope (aka "Puddles"):  As a very young pup she was fed a bag of chocolate chips, candies and dark chocolate cookies by her original owners and others attending their event. The next day she was rushed to the vet "appearing" to be ill.  The owners were "hurt" to see her at the vet office and didn't want to spend more monies to keep her alive on IV fluids, nor testing, medication, nor did they wish to spend any more time.  A person in the animal profession contacted me (Catherine at CYTR) about her situation and a Bile Acid test was requested, to which the results came back quite high.  After many tests, it was evident that she was also suffering from  the ramifications of an unattended double vein liver shunt.  No one had prior notice that she was fed chocolate, it was only discovered a week or so after her coming into rescue's care.  Her prior owners claimed to not know of the toxins and thought she was just a sickly, 8-9 week old, pup.

Rather than being euthanized, she was surrendered to Catherine, who requested a Liver Shunt type protocol and the little Yorkie pup came home to her.  Hope/Puddles did have surgery and it worked for a short time.  However, after follow up tests, there was evidence of turbulent flow due to her ameroid constrictor, it did not close completely.  The attempted remedy also resulted in a worse case scenario; Puddles had developed multiple acquired shunts.  There is nothing left to do but maintain her quality of life. Despite her tough start in life, she is a survivor.  In October 2006 I was told it was Hope's "last month" due to her multiple acquired shunts ... but as of May 2007 she is still trucking along like a happy wee clam! And is up to the task out out-witting and out-playing any spunky rescue foster pup that comes our way!  She does so in elegant style in her Harness Dress and Organza Bows!  Thank you Auntie Pat!  Puddles, fmaily and Pup Pals are on Dogster http://www.dogster.com/dogs/298754
